ART STUDIO TOUR

Sept. 19 & 20, 2009

Ever wanted to see the inside of an artist’s studio?

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 20 the public is invited to visit seven unique art studios featuring eight artists from the greater Estes Valley in the fourth annual open studio tour slated in and around Estes Park, Colorado.

The annual Estes Park Art Studio Tour is an opportunity for the public to watch artists as they work, ask questions, and to experience the art process in each artist's habitat. The event is sponsored by the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park, and it is free and open to the public.

A variety of art techniques and styles will be featured on the tour including painting, ceramics, woodworking, drawing and mixed media/collage.  Studios feature both two and three-dimensional art forms. Subject matter includes landscape, portraiture, abstract and contemporary designs in functional and decorative styles.  Artwork will be available for purchase from the artists all weekend long.

Deedee Hampton Studio, Oil and Mixed Media Collage
Patricia Henriksen Greenberg Studio, Pencil
John Lynch Woodworking Studio, Woodworking
Cecy Turner Studio, Oil
Cydney Springer , Oil
Greig Steiner , Oil and Mixed Media

Maps are available at the CAC Fine Art Gallery located at 423 W. Elkhorn Ave., the Estes Park Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, 500 Big Thompson Ave., or at participating studios.
