With its timeless displays, temporary exhibits and vast collection of memorabilia, the Estes Park Museum is a must on the list of places to explore while in the area. Permanent exhibits celebrate all who have lived in the area from Native Americans to early white explorers, pioneers, mountaineers, lodge owners, and women homesteaders.
There is something for everyone, from a 1909 Stanley Steamer to a furnished historic cabin, from a beaver felt hat to vintage National Park Service uniforms.
At the Estes Park Museum, you can touch the past through hands-on exhibits and activities that invite you to explore. Play the part of one of Estes Park's early residents and visit a re-creation of a general store.
The Museum is located at the corner of U.S. Highway 36 and Fourth Street and there is no admission fee. The Estes Park Museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday and 1 pm to
5 pm Sundays May 1 through October 31. From November 1 through April 30, the Museum is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 1 pm to 5 pm.
